At 34, after nearly ten years of study, Paul is at the very beginning of his career as an orthopedic surgeon. He has chosen to practice his profession in a renowned public hospital, allowing him to perform "complex surgeries."

"I never uttered the famous phrase , 'I always wanted to save people, '" explains the now orthopedic surgeon, laughing. Especially since no one in his family works in the medical field. So it was "a bit by chance" that the young man enrolled in medical school when he had to choose his major at the end of high school.
After three years "with his nose in books," Paul began his first internships, notably in cardiology and internal medicine. "You get a firsthand look at medicine; it's really an insight into the profession," he says. But his first steps in the hospital didn't have the desired effect. "We spent hours assessing patients, visiting their rooms; it was a very slow pace," he recalls.
